4th of July in Vicksburg

We traveled to Vicksburg on the 4th to visit my grandparents

We shot fireworks off that night.

The kids went fishing in Paw-Paw's pond the next morning.

Then we met Aunt Carol downtown at the River Museum

My beautiful sister and nephew, Carter
The entire family went out to Aunt Carol's for dinner and swimming that evening
and the guys did some more fishing.
This will be our last trip to see my grandparents in this house.  They are moving closer to town and family.  It was a bittersweet visit because I know it is what is best for them, but this is the home and land they have lived on my entire life.
It is so beautiful and I have so many childhood memories here of summers, Thanksgivings and Christmases.  It's been so special to see my kids make their own.

Beautiful pictures. It is sad that that place will not be there to come home to. Good memories.

Watching Grandparents get older is so hard, I want to remember them like they were. In their own home surrounded by things they love. Beautiful pictures.

Love the pictures-it makes me sad to think how much I'll miss that house!
