Spring Break 2016

Spring Break this year was a little different.  The boys went with my dad to Arizona for Spring Training while Sophie and I spent the week with my mom.

The Boys' Trip:

JC said it was his favorite trip ever!

We spent time with Chloe and Chance,
Saw Cinderella at Texas Ballet Theater,
 Had meatballs at Ikea,
Got fitted for new pointe shoes,
 Visited Magnolia,

Shopped,

and met up with friends in Fredericksburg.

What a great week!

Winter 2016

Winter has flown by here in San Angelo.
In January JC started swimming in the evenings at the high school.  He's really enjoying learning a new sport.
At the end of January, the boys went out to the Maedgen's ranch with Dustin and Ethan Fentress while Sophie and I had Disciple Now.

In February we had some yummy Valentine food.

John Curtis danced in his annual Hoedown at school.

February also brought the start of a new baseball season.
JC's team played in a 2 week tournament and came in 3rd over all.
Sophie went on her first youth trip with the choir to Baylor.
We finished out the month with a weekend at church for Family Camp.

Throughout the entire winter, Sophie was dancing and preparing for 7 Princesses and a Bear that she performed the first weekend in March. We were so blessed to have both sets of parents come for her show.

And now it's Spring!  Can't believe how fast it has come.  We've just finished up an amazing Spring Break week that I'll blog about soon.

Christmas and New Year 2015

Our Christmas festivities began the weekend we got out of school.  It was a big weekend!  On Friday night Mom, Kay, Taylor, Lindsey and I went to watch Sophie dance as a flower and snow in the Nutcracker.

The next day was John Curtis's 9th birthday.  It was so fun to have so much family here!

After lunch the boys all went to see Star Wars

 Happy birthday sweet boy!

That night it was back to Nutcracker, but this time the whole family went to watch Sophie perform as Clara.  We took up an entire row!

 Both great grandmothers!
 Sophie's artistic director, Ms. Gina
 The whole family

So many friends came to support Sophie too.
It was a magical evening!

The next morning everyone was at church together before they had to leave.  Then Taylor and I went back to watch Sophie one more time.

 More friends!

After Nutcracker was over it was time to get ready for Christmas!

 Christmas Morning!

That evening we went to Weatherford

The next day we drove to Texarkana and spent a few fun days there.

On our way back home we left the kids in Weatherford through New Year's Day.  They had fun doing fireworks.

Taylor and I came back on New Year's for one last family Christmas.

What a wonderful, full 2 weeks.
