Our Hideaway

Over a year ago when I finished grad school some of our wonderful friends went in together and gave Taylor and me a 2 night stay at The Hummer House in Christoval. Last summer was extra busy, and then the hummingbirds were gone. I started trying to book us in the spring, but they stay pretty packed too. We finally got to go last Monday and Tuesday night. It was perfect timing. Our bodies were so tired from the floor and we got to walk away from the house and spend 2 days doing almost nothing. We stayed in The Hideaway which was exactly what we wanted to do.

We watched dozens of hummingbirds come right up to the feeders on the porch.

We took a few walks and saw some beautiful scenery.
We saw a lot of deer on our walks and while sitting on the porch. We even saw a fawn hiding in the grass.

Taylor also took his obligatory bug pictures.

It was the perfect restful getaway. I read an entire book in one day and spent a lot of time soaking in the jacuzzi tub. We ate, slept, sat, walked, read, and watched a little TV. Thank you, friends for such an amazing gift!
