A New Room for a New Year

Sophie's room has been transformed over the last few weeks. She has been needing more room so we decided to get rid of her big bed and put a daybed in her room. We have one that was my grandmother's years ago, then it was mine when I was a teenager and has been passed around since then. My sister was gracious enough to pass it to us for Sophie to use. Then Taylor's mom decided to clean out some furniture and offered us Taylor's old dresser for her room. We had been wanting to get her a desk for her homework so my dad had our old one refinished. I love it because you can see indentions in it of pictures we drew, my name, Lindsey's name, and even some of our friends' names. Taylor found a chair at a thrift shop, stained it, and covered the seat in some of Sophie's old sheets. Finally, Sophie got some furniture for Sally for Christmas so there had to be room for her monstrous wardrobe and bed. She loves her new room. Thanks to our generous family, we did it all without needing to buy new furniture.

Love the new room! Like a big girl space. Taylor is so talented, the chair is just right. Can't wait to see it in person!

I love it! It's neat that all of the furniture is from your families and passed down too. So special!
