We joined a lot of Southland folks out at the Barrons' house on the lake on Sunday night. The kids had fun running around, playing and catching bugs. It was the perfect spot to watch the fireworks over the lake.
Alyson- I know this comment doesn't fit this post...
All the information in my comments and post on the school subject are just the facts. The quote from our speaker was his quote, yes, it's strong- that was his point. The issue is not about parenting, or one's personal relationship with our Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ (He is so good!!)- I don't think that Vision Forum would produce a DVD on the topic if there were no concern!
Here's a thought, what if God is trying to temper your heart to homeschool your children? Often when I've found the sin of my selfishness, so for an issue and/or against something else, those are the moments that Jesus works in me- turning my heart towards Him. I honestly never saw myself as a major advocate of homeschooling, becasue I wasn't going to be a homeschooling Momma! Yet, here I am right in the midst of homeschooling and controversy!
Thank you Karen and Courtney for your comments. I know my friends who usually read my blog are wondering what in the world this is all about. Just a lively conversation I got in on another blog. No worries, I'm not trying to get controversial on my blog.

I don't want to write much (trying to avoid controversy lol!)- just simply from the bottom of my heart - "Thanks".
Love you,
Courtney

I pray that Jesus blesses your young family.
In Him,

Just stopping by to say I am with you on this subject, (the homeschool points you made). :)
I am glad you spoke up on the comment about the abortion, it should not have been posted quote or no quote it's very divisive.
Blessings to you!
Karen
