BUGS!

This was our obsession today....finding every different bug we could in the backyard. This worked out fine for me and Taylor since I spent the entire day on a ladder and he spent the entire day looking up and trying to paint over his head. We're a little tired this evening. The kids played in the yard all day long. I love that they can do that this time of year. They got their own cameras out and started taking pictures of the bugs they found. They can't help this. It is in their DNA, and I assure you not from my side. When I was uploading these pictures just now I was shocked to see that there were over 200 on my memory card. The only ones of the kids are the one you see here. The rest were of a blue jay outside our window, flowers, different angles of a Dr. Pepper can, my wind chimes, and bugs, lots and lots of bugs.

I think I'll keep him around though because he lets me paint things this color
and he has these spurts of creativity when he paints something like this.
This is the new centerpiece of our porch. We worked so hard yesterday and today and made some real progress on the house painting. We are down to just the detail work on the porch. I'll post pictures soon.

you did help in a poolside frog dissection if memory serves me correctly. I'm sure it wasn't your idea though...
