152. 1st Graders Learning How to Give

Sophie's class has been learning a lot about water this year. When we went in for our parent conference toward the beginning of the year her teacher told us that Sophie had explained to her how our church (actually a mission of our church, Water for All) helps dig water wells for people who need them. We were both a little taken aback that Sophie was aware enough about our church's missions to offer that information. Her teacher asked if Taylor could come share about what they do.

Water For All is truly an amazing ministry that we are so proud to be a part of, so Taylor was happy to go and share about the work they are doing in Bolivia and Ethiopia and even in San Angelo as they train people from all over the world. He was able to show pictures from his own trip to Ethiopia a few years ago.

Sophie's teacher was very impressed by Taylor's presentation and the way Terry and his team are able to dig these wells for so little cost. Sophie was pretty proud of her Daddy coming to speak, too.

A couple of weeks after Taylor spoke this came home with Sophie.

I went up and took pictures of one of the game days.

Today Sophie's teacher told me that they had reached $100 and couldn't wait to present the money to us. This school does not have wealthy students, yet they were able to accomplish this. We are so thankful Sophie is learning in such a community. We feel blessed to get to send our little missionary out everyday and pray that we can also minister there as a family.

Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go visit you?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matt. 25: 37-40
